When I was a child I would go with my parents to their friends' houses, where they would feed us dinner.
After we had already eaten, they would offer us more food.
If we said no, things could get a little ugly.
This is a song about that social and psychological struggle.

I love being a dinner guest, being fed - take a rest from food prep.
But sometimes I find there’s a cost to being fed when choice is lost.
